Medical Director Dr. Ashish Jani, MRCGP, DFSRH, M.B.B.S., D.I.T., H.L.P., H.L.S., is the HLCC® UK medical director and the founder of the Colaz Aesthetic Medical Spa in Harrow, UK. He is a on the board of the Global Trichology Institute and the US Trichology Institute. A graduate of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Dr. Jani is passionate about continuing his own education while educating other medical professionals. Dr. Jani is an advanced beauty therapist, specializing in laser light therapy for hair restoration and aesthetic skin treatments. Dr. Jani is multi-lingual, responsive physician who possesses a developed patient-centered philosophy of care through innovative caring skills together with practical clinical skills. When not working, Dr. Jani enjoys sports, music, cooking and spending time with his family. Medical Director Dr. Ayyaz M. Shah is a triple board certified specializing in hair loss among both men and women of all ages. As a consulting Dermatologist for HLCC® his expertise in Hair loss is available to both HLCC® patients, HLCC® owned and Affiliated locations as well as HLCC® medical staff and Certified Hair Loss Professionals. As a Founder and Medical Director of Global Dermatology Institute, Dr. Shah educates Dermatologist and other health care professionals on Hair loss, Trichology and the many treatments for hair loss. He was recently honored by becoming a Board member of the US Trichology Institute. He is also Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Central Florida, and, President and Clinical Dermatologist of Shah Dermatology LLC. Additionally, Dr. Shah is Clinical Dermatologist at Mid-Florida Dermatology Associates. Dr. Shah is board-certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Physician Specialties, in Laser Surgery by the American Board of Laser Surgery and Family Practice by the American Osteopathic Association. Following medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Shah fulfilled his residency in Family Practice. He then completed his training at the Advanced Dermatology and Laser Center at the Universal Medical Center. He was also a consultant dermatologist at five hospitals including serving as a member of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Shah enjoys sharing his knowledge in Trichology as a Dermatology instructor at UCF College of Medicine, Aesthetic Association of Florida (AAFL), and with Empire Medical Training. Medical Director Dr. Albert is an MD with a special interest in Hair Loss, Laser Hair Loss Treatment and Cosmetic Dermatology. He earned his M.D. from Albany Medical College. He interned in the fields of surgery and OB/Gyn. He completed a research fellowship in trauma surgery, and then served as resident doctor for anatomic and clinical pathology at University of Rochester-Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Albert has researched endocrinology and cytogenetics at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and is now the Chairman of pathology and medical director of laboratories at Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Additionally, he is the vice president of the New York State Society of Pathologists. Dr. Albert has co-authored several research articles in the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Laser's in Medicine. He recently had a correspondence letter published in the New England Journal of Medicine. He is an expert on prescriptions and compound pharmaceuticals. Dr. Albert has been with HLCC for many years. Medical Director Dr. Calderon is a highly trained aesthetic doctor and with more than 25 years experience in several fields of Medicine with a special interest in Hair Loss, Laser Hair Loss Treatment and Cosmetic Dermatology. She has trained extensively in the use of many types of aesthetic lasers. Her expertise in hair loss and lasers inspired her to bring her Frisco TX based aesthetic practice to HLCC. She is excited to partner with the Hair Loss Control Clinic, a global leader in laser hair loss solution. Dr. Fuhrman is a Board Certified Family Practitioner with a special interest in Hair Loss, Laser Hair Loss Treatment and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Fuhrman has a rich background in his chosen field and received his medical degree fromNew York College of Osteopathic Medicine. His clinical work has been in general medicine, Psychiatry and Cardiology. His post-doctoral work includes residency experience in general medicine, surgery, emergency pediatrics, ear, nose and throat, opthamology, orthopedics, urology and pulmonology medicine. He is board certified in Family Practice, and holds certifications in ACLS and ATLS. He presently is an attending staff physician at St. Peter's Hospital while being the owner/CEO of a local family/urgent care center in the Albany area. Dr. Furman has been with HLCC for many years.

Why a D.O. ?
It is the 'total person' approach and is a fast growing segment in the US healthcare field. A Doctor of Osteopathy receives more training than an M.D. on the musculoskeletal system (nerves, muscles and bones). A D.O. perceives the whole body rather than just specific 'spots' or symptoms. A D.O. may use Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) on patients and involves the use of hands-on treatment while diagnosing and treating patients.
